Yeah...I hate my plot bunnies. I have three new stories...that I've been working on as of late...and each bloody one has driven me damned near insane.
There Is No Spark of Interest: (Animal/Lia) - it
seems to have gone bent but hopefully the most active plot bunny I have
will cooperate to the point where I can get a substantial amount of
writing done on this story.
Burden of Heritage:
(Animal/Tracy Manetti) - just trying to get the next chapter right since
I've never been to Japan (regardless of my heritage) and the character
is of Japanese descent.
Damned Spooks: (Harm/Catherine Gale fic) - next chapter being worked on but plot bunny not cooperating.
Each one of these JAG stories has a complete goal, but writing freestyle has led the story sometimes to a direction that I hadn't intended it to go.
There Is No Spark of Interest in particular has gone kind of sideways because with my original intent of it being an Animal/Lia story, it has now gone completely haywire with Chapter 9 with the following:
“The reason why I’m saying this is…” she paused for a
long moment. For all the training that
she’d had in naval aviation and being a naval aviator had taught her how to go
after the target, this emotional thing was something she didn’t have to deal
with in her every day life. Sure, being
in a relationship was a fun thing.
Having a casual lover to romp in the hay with was also fun but baring
one’s soul and fears was something else.
To go from casual lovers to in a serious relationship was something that
she hadn’t planned to do until the introspection had led her down that
path. But could they make it work? “What
would you say…if I told you that…” she paused for such a long moment that
Animal thought she had lost her train of thought.
“…if you told me what…” he prompted her.
“…if we could make a go of this…” she gestured around
the room as if to take in the whole apartment.
“You mean…” his eyes grew wider as he digested the
meaning of her words.
“…together…”
Can anyone tell me how the hell THAT happened? Because I don't have a ~bleep~ing clue!!! Such is the burden of writing. Oh well... I guess I'm now going to have to classify it as an Animal/Maegyn story.
